This Privacy Policy explains how Evaluate AI LLP (“Evaluate AI”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you use evaluate-ai.app and our services (“Service”).

1) Data we collect

A) Account and contact data

• Name, email, phone (if provided), organization/institute name
• Authentication data (passwords stored in hashed form)

B) Billing and transaction data

• Transaction references, plan/credits purchased, invoices, GST details (if provided)
• Payments are processed by third-party gateways; we typically do not store full card details

C) Uploaded content (User Content)

• Question papers, model answers, student answer sheets (PDFs/images)
• Student identifiers that may appear on sheets (name, roll number), handwriting, marks, remarks, and exam data

D) Technical and usage data

• Device/browser info, IP address, logs, timestamps, feature usage, diagnostics

E) Cookies

• Essential cookies for sessions and security
• Optional analytics cookies (if enabled)

2) Why we process data

• To provide OCR, evaluation, marked PDFs, summaries, analytics, and downloads
• To create/manage accounts, authenticate users, and provide support
• To process payments, credits, and invoices
• To prevent fraud/abuse and maintain security
• To comply with legal obligations

3) Roles: institution/teacher vs Evaluate AI

Institutions/educators typically decide the purpose of processing student answer sheets. Evaluate AI processes such content to provide the Service. For account and billing data, Evaluate AI determines the purposes for operating the platform.

4) Sharing of data

We may share data with:

• Service providers/sub-processors (cloud hosting, storage, OCR/AI services, monitoring)
• Payment processors (payments/refunds and fraud prevention)
• Legal/compliance where required by law or to protect rights/safety
• Business transfer parties (merger/acquisition) with appropriate safeguards

We do not sell personal data.

5) Cross-border processing

Depending on vendor infrastructure, data may be processed on servers outside India. We apply reasonable safeguards (contracts, access controls, encryption in transit) to protect data.

6) Data retention (default)

By default, evaluation outputs and related files are auto-deleted approximately 48 hours after evaluated answer sheets are generated, unless you delete them earlier or a different retention setting is enabled for your institution/plan. Some billing and audit records may be retained longer where required by law.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as access controls, least-privilege permissions, encryption in transit, monitoring, and logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use strong passwords and protect your account.

8) Your choices and requests

Subject to applicable law and verification, you may request access/correction of your account data, deletion of certain content, or help with export/removal.

9) Children/minors data

The Service is intended for educators/institutions. If student data includes minors, the institution/educator should ensure appropriate authority and compliance with applicable policies/laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
